WikiLeaks founder 'wanted in Sweden for rape'

We smell a set-up:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is wanted in Sweden where he has been accused of rape, the prosecutor's office said Saturday. "Julian Assange is wanted for two different issues, one of them is that he's suspected of rape in Sweden," the director of communications Karin Rosander told AFP. He was unable to say what the other accusation was or whether the search warrant was international.

According to the Swedish daily Expressen, the 39-year-old Australian is also wanted for assaulting a woman.

Swedish tabloid launches `dirty tricks` campaign in attempt to distract media attention

A Swedish gutter-press tabloid has produced a "news" article alleging rape charges against Julian Assange, who is currently winning a war for a free press, with opposition from the Pentagon.
It is doubtful this is a coincidental timing, and WikiLeaks says it has been warned of an impending "dirty tricks campaign."
No one from WikiLeaks has been contacted by the police, according to a tweet in response to the allegations.
