A life is a life
Jeremy Corbyn has suggested the British media under-played terrorist attacks in Beirut and Ankara compared to its coverage of the atrocities in Paris this weekend. The Labour leader claimed the events “got hardly any publicity” and the media should “report things that happen outside of Europe as well as inside”.
On Thursday evening, over 40 people died in Beirut in an IS terror attack a day before the Paris strikes. The extremists are also believed to have been responsible for the October suicide bombings in Ankara, Turkey, which killed over 100 people. Mr Corbyn told ITV’s Lorraine Kelly this morning: “I think first of all what happened in Paris was appalling, this is a vibrant, multicultural city, young people of all faiths, and older people as well, all there together, and cultures, and this terrible thing happened.
“Likewise, which didn’t unfortunately get hardly any publicity, was the bombing in Beirut last week or the killing in Turkey. I think our media needs be able to report things that happen outside of Europe as well as inside. A life is a life.”

The Ebola epidemic has killed 3,431 people in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia; it has killed one in the United States. Liberia's Defense Minister Brownie Samukai told the U.N. Security Council in September that the disease poses a "serious threat" to the country's existence; the Obama administration recently reminded everybody that "[America's] structure would preclude an outbreak." Health care workers are threatening to strike over dissatisfaction with wages; the U.S. sent 3,000 military personnel directly into the area to help combat the epidemic.

Fox Host Spews An Obama/Ebola Conspiracy Theory That Would Make Sarah Palin Proud
In a rant that would make Sarah Palin blush with pride, Fox host Gretchen Carlson strung together all the conservative manufactured conspiracies and scandals they’ve tried to pin to President Obama and connected them all to the Ebola virus.
Despite the fact that health and science experts have repeatedly shot down Fox fear mongering about Ebola in America over the last few days, Carlson went on her own show to push her own theory because she apparently felt that she needed to out-crazy everyone else.
During her “My Take” segment, Carlson said that the government can’t be trusted to tell the truth about Ebola because of the IRS, Obamacare, the Secret Service screw-ups, the Veterans Affairs situation, and of course, Benghazi.

A TV Host Decides To Not Report The Facts Or News, Gets Spectacularly Called Out By Co-Host
It's great to see TV news hosts actually, you know, do their job. Mika Brzezinski is ace here:
a) She calls out her co-host for his ratings-driven speculative theories about the Malaysian missing plane by pulling the focus back onto *real* news and facts the public needs to hear. But also...
b) Even when her co-host is ridiculously patronizing by telling her to "relax" and that she's "upset" simply because she is spelling out in black and white what needs to be done, she carries on. It's a stark reminder that so often when women call out bullshit, they're just belittled.

The corporate media will never give The People a voice – so we have to give one to ourselves. This is our chance and it’s time to grasp it before the global collapse into economic tyranny and Big Brother oppression slams the door on what remains of human freedom. We need £100,000 as the very minimum necessary to go to air within months and everything above that will ensure that The People’s Voice will be bigger, better and more effective on day one and the dream can be made a reality on the scale that I envisage.
The People’s Voice would broadcast out of London, but this is a global station. We are all in this together and we must come together, talk together and cooperate together to bring about a global awakening. We would have programmes every day by presenters in the UK and the United States with other regular programmes featuring presenters and content in Australia/New Zealand, Africa and everywhere else that we can secure quality programming.
