The remains of popular Chilean singer Victor Jara will be reburied in Santiago - 36 years after he was killed in the aftermath of a military coup.
Thousands of well-wishers, including President Michelle Bachelet, have been paying their last respects during a three-day wake in the capital. Mr Jara was one of the most prominent victims of the 1973 coup that brought Gen Augusto Pinochet to power. Mr Jara's body was exhumed in June to clarify the circumstances of his death.
A court then established that he had been tortured and shot more than 30 times.
