Banned from the UK, 16 named and shamed

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she decided to make public the names so others could better understand what sort of behaviour Britain was not prepared to tolerate.

The list includes hate preachers, anti-gay protesters and a far-right US talk show host.

"I think it's important that people understand the sorts of values and sorts of standards that we have here, the fact that it's a privilege to come and the sort of things that mean you won't be welcome in this country," said Ms Smith.

Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili claims to have crushed army mutiny

Georgia claimed yesterday to have put down an army mutiny and foiled a plot to disrupt month-long Nato military exercises due to begin in the country today. A tank battalion surrendered at an army base outside Tbilisi, the capital, after a stand-off with forces loyal to President Saakashvili.

The Interior Ministry said that the rebellion was part of a wider conspiracy to cause a “full-scale military riot” linked to the Nato exercises. However, it dropped earlier claims that Russia was funding a coup aimed at assassinating Mr Saakashvili. Officials close to the President told The Times that there was no firm evidence of Russian involvement in yesterday’s events or of any organised attempt at a coup.  Times Online

Art historians claim Van Gogh's ear 'cut off by Gauguin'

Vincent van Gogh's fame may owe as much to a legendary act of self-harm, as it does to his self-portraits. But, 119 years after his death, the tortured post-Impressionist's bloody ear is at the centre of a new controversy, after two historians suggested that the painter did not hack off his own lobe but was attacked by his friend, the French artist Paul Gauguin.

According to official versions, the disturbed Dutch painter cut off his ear with a razor after a row with Gauguin in 1888. Bleeding heavily, Van Gogh then walked to a brothel and presented the severed ear to an astonished prostitute called Rachel before going home to sleep in a blood-drenched bed.

But two German art historians, who have spent 10 years reviewing the police investigations, witness accounts and the artists' letters, argue that Gauguin, a fencing ace, most likely sliced off the ear with his sword during a fight, and the two artists agreed to hush up the truth.

War Against the Weak: Eugenics

Edwin Black discussed his book War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America's Campaign to Create a Master Race, published by Four Walls Eight Windows. The book discusses a large-scale eugenics movement that began in the U.S. in 1904 and that was championed by the nation's medical, political, and religious elite. Eugenics sought to eliminate social "undesirables" and was eventually copied by the Third Reich. Mr. Black responded to questions from members of the audience.

Alex Jones Calls the White House

Few people understand the real danger of what may be happening right now (and what happened in the bird flu hoax)! Swine flu is far more dangerous as a hoax than if it was the real thing!!!
This is not just “the beta test” to see how people would react to something much more terrible. People are prepared for their attack this time (they scared us)! What they certainly accomplished with this huge bubble is that when they release the real grand fucker in the future very few will listen to the warnings: people will continue with their everyday life and virus will spread like wildfire.

Be very careful, these sick evil bastards are playing with us like puppets.

Bilderbergers Set To Meet - Beware!

While the world's Power Elite, known as the Bilderbergers, prepare to meet for their annual push for world governance on May 14-19 the corporate media propagandists provide their cover by flooding the airwaves with swine flu fears, the recovering/teetering stock market, torture, and other items that have been contrived by those same elitists in order to cover their true intentions.

One participant, Alice Rivlin, who has represented the Brookings Institute at Bilderberg, simply smiled and nodded when asked if the agenda this year includes a world without borders and an American Union.

One World Government has long been the goal of this group of elitists, coming from all parts of the globe, including the United States. Bilderberg intends to expand the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) throughout the Western Hemisphere as a prelude to establishing an American Union similar to the European Union. Such entities strip the nations involved of their sovereignty and those nations involved in the European Union are now referred to as “states”.

Britain's breach of honour over Iraq interpreters

The Government has been accused of deserting former Iraqi interpreters who risked their lives for Britain, after announcing that it would close its assistance scheme in a fortnight. MPs from all three parties have described the assistance scheme as deliberately restrictive and called for a review. The scheme gives former interpreters, cleaners and other local employees a chance to relocate to Britain or receive a one-off cash sum to stay in Iraq or resettle in a neighbouring country such as Jordan.

U.K. Turns Its Back On Iraq Interpreters:

Britain is shaming itself.
Its army came to Iraq, recruited local interpreters and others to help in its war effort, and is now abandoning them.
Insurgent death squads view those who help the British as traitors; by refusing to offer asylum, the U.K. is condemning them and their families to rape, torture, exile and murder.
The reports about what happens to interpreters are gruesome. The London Times tells of 30-year-old Haidr al-Murty: ”Holes were drilled into his hands and knees before both legs were broken and acid poured over his face. Finally, he was shot in the head.” CBS

Back Gordon Brown or boost BNP, Neil Kinnock warns British MPs

The former leader of the Labour party Neil Kinnock has warned Labour MPs that further undermining of Gordon Brown's leadership would boost the British National party (BNP) in the European elections.

After a weekend in which senior Labour figures struggled to end speculation about whether Brown should continue to lead the party, Kinnock called on MPs to "get behind Gordon" and denounced talk of a leadership challenge as "ludicrous and damaging". He said tearoom plotting would "hand victories" to the BNP in the elections on 4 June. Under proportional representation, the BNP needs 9%-12% of the vote to gain seats.

Labour MPs are restless after the government failed to realise the extent of unhappiness over a decision to limit settlement rights for Gurkhas and avert Brown's first Common's defeat as prime minister. Senior Labour figures were also dismayed at the government performing a second climbdown over MPs' expenses.

'Witness for Jesus' in Afghanistan

US soldiers have been encouraged to spread the message of their Christian faith among Afghanistan's predominantly Muslim population, video footage obtained by Al Jazeera appears to show.

Military chaplains stationed in the US air base at Bagram were also filmed with bibles printed in the country's main Pashto and Dari languages.

In one recorded sermon, Lieutenant-Colonel Gary Hensley, the chief of the US military chaplains in Afghanistan, is seen telling soldiers that as followers of Jesus Christ, they all have a responsibility "to be witnesses for him".

"The special forces guys - they hunt men basically. We do the same things as Christians, we hunt people for Jesus. We do, we hunt them down," he says.

"Get the hound of heaven after them, so we get them into the kingdom. That's what we do, that's our business."

Pandemic Nonsense: Flying Pig Flu

Are globalist fear-mongers driving the media to panic the public into universal healthcare solutions? Or federally-mandated vaccinations?

By definition, a "pandemic" is an epidemic that is geographically widespread. Fear-mongers are always careful to add the innuendo that millions of people could and probably will die, as in the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed between 20 and 100 million people worldwide.

Excuse me, but how does the death of even a few hundred equate to 20 million?

announcement2

Mexico, not the usual Southeast Asia, is the origin of the latest flu outbreak. It has spread in limited numbers to several continents. Almost all of the deaths, limited as they are, are in Mexico. The ratio of deaths to infections is very small.

Again, how does this outbreak even remotely qualify as a pandemic? Answer: It does not!

7/7 Ripple Effect

Regarding the 7/7/2005 terrorist attacks in London, let us look at the facts, and what we were told, and compare them. Then let us see what conclusions are to be drawn, so we can all understand what most likely really did happen that day.

Mexico: Hold Military to Account on Rights Abuses

Mexico is failing to hold members of the military who commit human rights violations accountable, undercutting its efforts to curb drug-related violence and improve public security, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today.

The 76-page report, "Uniform Impunity: Mexico's Misuse of Military Justice to Prosecute Abuses in Counternarcotics and Public Security Operations," details 17 cases involving military abuses against more than 70 victims, including several cases from 2007 and 2008. The abuses include killings, torture, rapes, and arbitrary detentions. Not one of the military investigations into these crimes has led to a conviction for even a single soldier on human rights violations. The only civilian investigation into any of these cases led to the conviction of four soldiers.

Lithium in water 'curbs suicide'

Drinking water which contains the element lithium may reduce the risk of suicide, a Japanese study suggests.

Researchers examined levels of lithium in drinking water and suicide rates in the prefecture of Oita, which has a population of more than one million. The suicide rate was significantly lower in those areas with the highest levels of the element, they wrote in the British Journal of Psychiatry.

High doses of lithium are already used to treat serious mood disorders.

BBC NEWS

Lithium is used to treat the manic episodes of manic depression. Manic symptoms include hyperactivity, rushed speech, poor judgment, reduced need for sleep, aggression, and anger. It also helps to prevent or lessen the intensity of manic episodes.

Australia expands military power

The Australian government says it is to spend more than $72bn (£48bn) upgrading its military over the next two decades.

Key purchases include 100 fighter jets and 12 new submarines, replacing the current fleet of six. Eight frigates and 24 combat helicopters are also on the list, set out in the country's first defence white paper for 10 years.

The government says it will enable Australia to defend its interests in a changing Asia-Pacific region. The white paper is entitled: "Defending Australia in the Asia-Pacific Century; Force 2030".

The 12 new hunter-killer submarines - which will be built in Australia - will double the size of the current fleet. One hundred F-35 fighters will be purchased over the next decade, and funds will also be allocated to counter cyber and electronic warfare.

US Government injecting veterans with cocaine for drug addiction research

Drug-addicted veterans are being injected with cocaine by researchers at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in taxpayer-funded studies, The Examiner has learned.
The study subjects are being given the injections as part of a search for medicines that researchers hope will block cocaine absorption in the body, said Timothy O’Leary, the VA’s acting director of research and development.

All the subjects were recruited because they were addicted to cocaine, O’Leary said. About 40 volunteers — most of them veterans — are being given injections at VA labs in Kansas City and San Antonio, he added.

Hundreds of veterans have apparently been used as human subjects in the past decade, according to records and interviews with officials.

The VA has handed over several other abstracts from studies over the past decade, and O’Leary said his agency has been conducting such research for at least 25 years.

O’Leary said that the subjects’ safety was paramount. But documents of a decade-old study that tested morphine on veterans found nearly 800 “adverse events” from anorexia to heart tremors.

Fox News: Martial Law in US If It’s a Pandemic?

A segment on Fox News’ Fox and Friends this morning explored the issue of whether a swine flu pandemic could result in a declaration of martial law in America and a suspension of constitutional rights.

“If it becomes a pandemic, you could lose some simple rights - like going to the movies,” said host Steve Doocy, before introducing legal analyst Peter J. Johnson, Jr.

“People in our government need to start thinking about how, if this actually becomes a pandemic, how it’s going to affect our daily life and our rights,” said Johnson, before asking if people who try to escape quarantines or refuse mandatory vaccinations would face jail time.

Early scuffles as Berlin braces for May 1 violence

Berlin was bracing itself for violence this May 1 and scuffles have started already. Youths and police clashed last night, leading to a number of arrests and the fear is that this could just be a prelude to a day of disturbances.

Dating back to 1987, rioting has traditionally rocked the German capital on the May 1 Labour Day holiday, with extensive damage to parts of the city.

More recently, residents have seen a relative drop in violence, partly due to different police tactics aimed at defusing tension. But this year an explosive atmosphere is feared, against the backdrop of Germany’s worst recession since World War Two and soaring unemployment.

Britain appears to be evolving into the first modern soft totalitarian state

Britain appears to be evolving into the first modern soft totalitarian state. As a sometime teacher of political science and international law, I do not use the term totalitarian loosely.

There are no concentration camps or gulags but there are thought police with unprecedented powers to dictate ways of thinking and sniff out heresy, and there can be harsh punishments for dissent.

Nikolai Bukharin claimed one of the Bolshevik Revolution's principal tasks was "to alter people's actual psychology". Britain is not Bolshevik, but a campaign to alter people's psychology and create a new Homo britannicus is under way without even a fig leaf of disguise.

The Government is pushing ahead with legislation that will criminalise politically incorrect jokes, with a maximum punishment of up to seven years' prison. The House of Lords tried to insert a free-speech amendment, but Justice Secretary Jack Straw knocked it out. It was Straw who previously called for a redefinition of Englishness and suggested the "global baggage of empire" was linked to soccer violence by "racist and xenophobic white males". He claimed the English "propensity for violence" was used to subjugate Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and that the English as a race were "potentially very aggressive".

In the past 10 years I have collected reports of many instances of draconian punishments, including the arrest and criminal prosecution of children, for thought-crimes and offences against political correctness.
