She is not embarking on a political career. Benjamin Netanyahu just seems to be the last person she's got round to in a long list of assignments on her trip here.
She has also been to the Western Wall, the holiest place Jews can pray. She has paid respects at the graves of dead Kabbalah rabbis, while receiving scorn from living ones for her immodesty and not-so abstemious lifestyle.
The Queen of Pop has dined with the Queen of Israeli politics, opposition leader Tzipi Livni. And a real Queen laid on a helicopter for her to visit the legendary ruins of Petra over the border in Jordan.
What she has not done is meet Palestinian leaders or bothered to go into the West Bank, apparently.
