1916 D.W. Griffith epic. A poor young woman is separated from her baby and husband by prejudice. Her story is interwoven with three other stories of intolerance - one in ancient Babylon, one in Judea, where the hypocritical Pharisees condemn Jesus Christ and one in 1572 Paris where a young Huguenots couple prepare for marriage on the day of the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre.
