Passenger data deal for US and EU

"The EU has sought assurance over who can access the data

The US and the European Union have struck a new deal for sharing airline passenger data.

The new interim agreement will replace a deal struck down by the European Court of Justice in May, that allowed the US access to 34 pieces of data. The US has sought information about air travelers since the 9/11 attacks. Here in the radio-news was the remark: " it just concerns eating habits and health issues". So why is then that "The US has sought information about air travelers since the 9/11 attacks". The deal was in fact about creditcard and addresses, and who knows what kind of other information. But people just don't care.

But what the hell, we just got a Biometric passport anyway....
